poolThe first question is, does your company have any employees who drive their own personal automobile during business hours?

For example:

  • Do they go pick up lunch?
  • Do they drive from the main office to a warehouse location or from one customer location to another?
  • Do they pick up a client from the airport?
  • While on a business trip, do they rent a car?

If any of these or similar activities occur at your company, you need non-owned auto insurance.

Why?

If your employee gets in a car accident and causes bodily injury to another person, your business may be sued for the damages.

Non-owned auto liability will protect you against this lawsuit.

The good news is, you don’t have to own a business vehicle to acquire this coverage. Nine times out of ten, you can add it to your general liability policy, or you can purchase separate swimming pool insurance.
